Ontario LTB Notice & Form Finder
Start with who you are and what is happening. The finder points to Landlord and Tenant Board notices or applications commonly associated with the situation, then connects you to Ontario Home Intel explanations and the current official Tribunals Ontario forms page.
N4 / L1, L9 or L10 may be relevant
The correct route depends on whether the tenancy is ongoing, what is owed and what has happened after any notice.
How the LTB process fits together
N forms
Many N forms are notices or agreements used before an application is filed. A notice itself is not an eviction order.
L, T and A forms
L forms are landlord applications, T forms are tenant applications, and A forms address certain issues that can be raised by either side. Filing methods differ by application.
Common landlord pathways
Rent & arrears
N1 / N2 / N3 / N10 relate to different rent-increase situations. N4 is commonly associated with non-payment. Depending on the circumstances, L1, L9 or L10 may later be relevant.

Conduct, damage & other grounds
N5, N6, N7 and N8 address different termination grounds. An L2 application is used for various termination and money claims, depending on the facts and notice involved.
Agreement, own use & renovation
N11 records an agreement to end a tenancy. N12 and N13 apply to specific statutory circumstances. L2 or L3 may be associated with later applications depending on the pathway.
Other landlord applications
The current official inventory also includes L4–L8 for specific situations and A1, A2 and A4 for certain Act, assignment/sublet and rent-reduction issues.
Common tenant pathways
Ending or changing a tenancy
N9 is a tenant notice to end a tenancy, N11 is an agreement to end a tenancy, and N15 addresses qualifying fear of sexual or domestic violence and abuse. Assignment/sublet disputes may involve A2.
